On Saturday, 13th February 2010 the Regional Cultural and Art Centre in Suwałki was honoured with the annual President of the Suwałki Town Award "Włócznia Jaćwinka 2009 (The Yotvingian's Spear 2009)" for the profesional organization of the second edition of "Suwałki Blues Festival 2009" as well as for strenghtening the brand and the presige of the event. |

Suwałki Blues Festival - the best tourist product of Podlasie The Podlasie Regional Tourist Organization (PROT) chose the Best Tourist Products of the Podlasie Province 2009. According to the jury board PROT, the best product turned out to be Suwałki Blues Festival. From the sent 11 propositions the jury board selected 3 which were sent to the national level of the competition organized by the Polish Tourist Organization "The Best Tourist Product 2009". |

On 30th April, in the Amusement Theatre in Chorzów, the festive Gala Blues Top 2008 took place. During the ceremony, the “Twój Blues” readers’ awards were presented. The Suwałki Blues Festival received the main award in – the event of the year 2008. The award was received by President Józef Gajewski and the Chairman of the Town Council – Włodzimierz Marczewski in person. |
Among the winners in other categories were: Sławek Wierzcholski (the Director of the Polish Blues Association, an award for the record of the year for the album “Antologia Polskiego Bluesa” (“The Anthology of Polish Blues”), the band Nocna Zmiana Bluesa (an award for the band of the year), as well as Jan Chojnacki (an award for the personality of the year). |

We are pleased to inform you that the Suwałki Blues Festival 2008 was noticed in the prestigious competition Podlaska Marka Roku, organized by the Podlasie Province Marshal. Our festival was nominated for an award in undertaking, competing with 34 other events from the province. The board of Podlaska Marka Roku granted the festival an award for The Undertaking of the Year 2008. |

Based on a national poll from the quarterly magazine “Twój Blues,” the Suwałki Blues Festival was chosen as the event of the year 2008. It received more votes than Eric Clapton’s concert in Gdynia as well as other blues festivals around Poland. |
